Create a flipping team you trust

Want to flip a property? Don’t go it alone. Investors prosper when they’ve made connections with real estate agents,
lenders, contractors and other investors at the top of their game. Here are three tips to making a great team:

1. Treat every professional relationship as a mutually beneficial connection.

Working to benefit both you and a teammate is the only way to grow your network. Realize that this relationship,
whether it’s an interaction with a real estate agent, a home inspection, or a contractor, could have huge long-term
implications on your future as an investor.

2. Seek them out.

Do your research, know what you need, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Seek out recommendations everywhere you
go, and as names rise to the top, hire the best to work with you on projects whenever possible.

3. Acknowledge expertise.

An excellent real estate agent can help you scout out the best possible properties to flip–and the best deals. Talk
to your contractors about their preferences for a project, and work with their needs as much as possible. Trust the
professionals, and they’ll trust you in return.
